Remember being in Physical Education back in elementary school?

For some, it was the time to show others what you were made of, but for others participating in PE was like being locked in a cage with a tiger. It was especially so on days when it was kickball or dodgeball.

Since then, physical education has gone through a transformation. Children are required to have at least "200 minutes of structured physical education each every 10 days" in the state of California. (California Department of Education)  With the demand for teaching to the standards and to state wide exams, physical education has been cut or put aside for a later time during the school week.

The development of this site is intended to educate teachers who need help with putting together a solid physical education program but do not know where to start.
